Controversial TV star Gregg Wallace has shared a social media post with his wife following months of public scrutiny and allegations of misconduct that have rocked his career. The shamed food critic, 60, was forced to step away from his beloved role on MasterChef in November 2024, as explosive allegations of misconduct surfaced.

With the BBC and production company Banijay UK launching formal investigations into the disturbing claims, Wallace’s lawyers have vehemently denied any accusations of sexual harassment. Amid waves of controversy, Gregg shared a post on social media, posting a cheerful photo with his wife, Anne-Marie Sterpini, also known as Anna.

On Instagram, he wrote: “Eat well, live well, look after yourself. Get a little more active. Learn about nutrition. Learn to take care of yourself.”

Wallace later posted a link to his health page, offering tips on staying in shape, but the post was quickly removed. He has since shared a new image of his wife, accompanied by a similar caption. The fitness fanatic is known for regularly keeping fans updated with his weight loss journey and posting recipes while also sharing an insight into his family life.

In October, Eat Well for Less star was accused of gross misconduct, including making inappropriate sexual comments and engaging in bullying behaviour. He was forced to step down from MasterChef while the BBC launched an investigation into the allegations.

The following month it was revealed that he would be replaced on the Celebrity MasterChef judging panel for the upcoming series, with renowned restaurant critic Grace Dent joining John Torode. This news followed serious allegations from Penny Lancaster, who claimed she was a “victim of bullying and harassment” by Wallace.

Gregg, however, previously brushed off the complaints, dismissing them as coming from “a handful of middle-class women of a certain age.” His comments have since been widely criticised by public figures, including Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy, who condemned his remarks as both inappropriate and misogynistic.

Meanwhile, Wallace’s lawyers were previously quoted by BBC News as saying “it is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature”.

It was previously reported that Banijay UK, the production company behind MasterChef, appointed a City law firm to lead the investigation amid the ongoing probe.

Their statement read: “Lewis Silkin is a major City law firm with a highly experienced specialist investigations team which has overseen a broad range of high-profile workplace investigations,” it said.

“Banijay UK has been impressed by the firm’s rigorous, in-depth, and impartial analysis and reporting.”

A spokesperson added: “All information will be handled sensitively, and names of those providing evidence to the team will be kept confidential.”
