Jodie Marsh reflected on how her life had changed after she said she felt “fat but happier than ever” in the past. This statement came after she stepped away from the world of glamour modelling. The 45-year-old TV personality gained fame in the early 2000s as a glamour model, known for her revealing outfits and intense feuds with fellow lads’ mags star Katie Price. Jodie, 46, who once graced the pages of Page Three, now prefers a peaceful existence, focusing on running an animal sanctuary in Great Dunmow, Essex, instead of being in the spotlight.

Over the years, Jodie had dabbled in various industries, from modelling to reality TV. She even took on bodybuilding at one stage, showing off defined abs. In a recent social media video, she talked about the benefits of a CBD oil she had been using to help with pain, aches, and anxiety.

About the CBD oil, Jodie recently said: ‘It changed my life, you just need the 6000mg oil and works straight away, anyone with anxiety/depression any aches or pain or insomnia NEEDS TO TRY THIS.’ Jodie previously described herself as ‘fat’ because she no longer has time to work out while running her animal sanctuary.

On her stepping away from the world of modelling, she also admitted she considered herself “fat” now, as she no longer had the time to exercise due to the demands of her animal rescue work.

“You might recognise me as someone that used to be glamorous, sexy, a bodybuilder and everything else, but now I’m just a farm girl and I look a mess,” she told The Sun.

She added: “The reason I’m now fat and haven’t got a six pack is because I don’t have time to eat properly or even do the food shopping. Not ever. I used to cook healthy meals and don’t have time for that anymore. I don’t gym at the moment either. I don’t have time. It’s manic.” Despite this, Jodie embraced her current lifestyle, saying she felt more ‘happier than ever’.

In 2020, Essex-born Jodie opened Fripps Farm and dedicated her time to helping creatures in need. But it’s not been all smooth sailing on the farm as legal battles, suspected poisionings and tearful feuds with her neighbours have cast a dark shadow on the project.

Last year, the former model appeared in court over an animal licence decision, as she appealed against the refusal of an application to Uttlesford District Council to keep lemurs at her private sanctuary.

The staunch animal rights activist is now enjoying life on her farm after launching her own animal sanctuary Fripps Farm in Great Dunmow, Essex. As well as sheep and donkies, she looks after the likes of alpacas, emus, monkeys and reptiles.

In a recent snap, Jodie looks unrecognisable as she posed at her sanctuary with pals including EastEnders star Jessie Wallace. Jodie was seen make-up-free with her bleached hair tied back into a ponytail while wearing a jumper which read: “Stop Eating Dead Animals”.

In the early days of the farm, Jodie turned to OnlyFans and glamour modelling to help pay the bills. She told Mail Online: “Before we became a C.I.C (Community Interest Company) I was funding it all myself and I did it by doing OnlyFans. The perimeter fence alone for securing the animals cost £60,000 so I had to pay for that with OnlyFans. My boobs paid for the fences and they also paid the staff’s wages!”
