As she opened up on life in her weekly column with OK!, former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona couldn’t help but mention how good she felt her friend was looking after her recent cosmetic surgery. “I was reunited with my girl Katie Price this week, which was so lovely. I haven’t seen her in a while, so we had a good old catch-up. She is looking amazing right now, and we’re both feeling really great, which is nice to see.”

She added, revealing that her son and Katie were currently working together, “My son Max is working with her behind the scenes of her Pinocchio pantomime tour so Katie brought him home and we all caught up before they had to go back to rehearsals. I plan to visit Katie soon so we can spend more time together, but life is so busy right now!”

Katie had a facelift, thought to be her sixth, in a clinic in Istanbul in January, less than a year after her £10,000 operation there. The mother-of-five shared at the time: “From my last surgery, there are just a few little bits that I want tweaking. Well, they need tweaking. So here I am getting ready. That’s the worst bit for me, the needle. The needle’s done so now I can relax.”

Katie later shared a selfie from her hospital bed, showing her cheeks and forehead wrapped in bandages. And though many like Kerry had. And though many had words of encouragement for the star, others believe she needs to stop going undner the knife and has gone too far.

The reality star herself herself has been open about her surgery addiction, comparing it to a shopping spree. Speaking on the How To Fail With Elizabeth Day podcast last year, she revealed: “People don’t realise when you have surgery and stuff, you only see before and after, you don’t see in between – when you’ve had it, the pain and the cleaning, the stitches out and the bed rests. So I would love to educate people about it. It’s damaging to your body. I’ve had so many anaesthetics. I know I still choose to do it, but I’m older now.”

As for her friend Kerry, who Katie did panto with last Christmas, she opted against getting a facelift at the end of January. The star, who last year had a corrective nose operation, admitted she had a change of heart and called off the operation after her children begged her not to go through with it.

She wrote in her OK! column: ‘I just don’t think now is the right time. My eldest three girls really didn’t want me to do it, they were begging me not to, saying, “Please don’t”. I knew they didn’t want me to, so that massively impacted my decision. It is hard for the kids to see me recovering – that’s why I stay at my mum’s after surgery so they aren’t exposed to it. The results are always amazing but I’m just not there yet.’
