Lorraine Kelly has discussed Meghan Markle’s latest video about Gwyneth Paltrow with a candid comment as the celebrity pair addressed rumours of a feud between them on Instagram

Lorraine Kelly has given her thoughts on Meghan Markle’s latest attempt to put feud rumours to bed with Gwyneth Paltrow, revealing that she’s thinks the whole story is “strange”. The Duchess of Sussex made headlines this week when she teamed up with Gwyneth Paltrow to set the record straight amid rumours of a feud between them.

Meghan had been accused of copying Gwyneth’s lifestyle brand Goop by launching her own and releasing the Netflix series With Love, Meghan. When Gwyneth was asked by a fan on Instagram whether she was “comprehending the Meghan Markle beef” that was circulating on the internet, the film star said in a video: “I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever.”

She then asked: “Do you understand this?” with the camera panning to show Meghan shrugging her shoulders. They then burst into laughter together.

Playing the video on her ITV show, Lorraine said: “Just those few wee seconds, that’s that. Do you think they could get together and do another Netflix-y thing?”

Rishi Davda replied saying that they both live in Montecito, so there’s a chance it could happen. Lorraine added: “It’s another world. Who knows? It’s all very strange. Good luck to them. If you want to watch, watch. If you don’t, don’t.”

It’s not the first time that Lorraine has spoken on the feud rumours plaguing Gwyneth and Meghan. The ITV presenter said earlier this month that Gwyneth’s comments about Meghan’s new brand were “very fair”.

When asked whether she thought that the Duchess had copied her business venture, Gwyneth said: “I don’t know Meghan and Harry… I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all.

“I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes… I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.”

It’s been a tough week for Prince Harry, who made the “devastating” decision yesterday to leave his own charity Sentebale as relationships within the organisation have “broken down beyond repair”.

The Duke of Sussex co-founded the African children’s charity in honour of Princess Diana in 2006 alongside Prince Seeiso of Lesotho – however, both royals announced in a joint statement that they would be leaving the organisation.

“Nearly 20 years ago, we founded Sentebale in honour of our mothers. Sentebale means ‘forget-me-not’ in Sesotho, the local language of Lesotho, and it’s what we’ve always promised for the young people we’ve served through this charity,” they said.

“Today is no different. With heavy hearts, we have resigned from our roles as patrons of the organisation until further notice, in support of and solidarity with the board of trustees who have had to do the same. It is devastating that the relationship between the charity’s trustees and the chair of the board broke down beyond repair, creating an untenable situation.”
