Peter Kay was forced to deal with more crowd disruptions during his recent gig at London’s O2 Arena a month after ejecting audience members from a show in Manchester
Peter Kay threatens to kick audience members out of show
Comedian Peter Kay hit out at a heckler once again as further fan disruption at a gig on Thursday. The comic icon, 51, was performing at London’s O2 Arena when he referred back to a fan who had been thrown out of a previous show.
He had been slammed previously for comparing an audience member to Emmerdale star Lisa Riley at his Manchester gig in February. However, he poked fun at the criticism he faced once more as he was forced to halt his latest show to make an example of one of his fans. Addressing the distracting fans, the Max and Paddy star brought his performance to a halt to call out the noisy fan in question.
He asked the crowds: “Is it them in that box? Is that them? Who is it? Eh, it’s you monkeys there. Now then, what are we going to do with you now? These people in this area now, do any of you look like Lisa Riley? No, alright,” he joked as the crowd erupted into laughter.

The comedian then jokingly dared an audience member to jump from their box. “Jump, go on. See if you bounce.”
He then asked the audience if the two audience members were annoying them. Crowds were heard cheering to signify that they were, leading Peter to ask: “So what are we going to do about this. I’m not getting involved this time.
“Please, the lovely people in that area, would you like to raise your hands if those gentlemen are p****ing you off.
“I’m going to leave it to the security team to go up there and sort it out,” he added. “Nah, you can carry on, but if you’re rambunctious, you’re going home early… you naughty boys.”
A fan who was at the gig said: “Peter waded in as the crowd was audibly kicking off due to some disagreement in the crowd. He poked fun at the idea of kicking them out, then dished out the issue to his security.
“But he did reference it again twice in the show as they kept shouting, comparing it to a ‘boot sale’ at one point. It seemed like the audience in the area wanted him to kick the person out due to all the drama.”
It’s the latest crowd drama at Peter’s show. Last month he claimed he had “no choice” but to ask security to eject two hecklers due to their “repeated disruptions” making it “impossible to continue”. At the time, the comedian asked staff at Manchester’s AO Arena to remove a man who shouted “Garlic bread”, a phrase he first coined in Phoenix Nights.
He followed up by telling them to also throw out a woman who kept calling his name. At the time he dubbed her Lisa Riley because of her resemblance to the actress.
The lady in question, Myar Curran, later said she feels humiliated and will never watch the comedian on stage again. She accused the star of being a ‘bully’ for comparing her to the Mandy Dingle actress.
Speaking on ITV show, Good Morning Britain, Myar said: “I didn’t mean to cause any harm, I was just showing my love as he kicked someone out but he obviously didn’t like it.” She went on to add: “I feel like what I said was not abusive or aggressive – it wasn’t anti-social and I wasn’t drunk. I was just standing up chanting ‘we love you Peter, we do’. It’s just been a bit over the top, his reaction.”
