During Tuesday’s episode of The Chase, host Bradley Walsh seemed less than thrilled as the game unfolded. ITV viewers met contestants Sam, Pauline, Rachel and Mark at the start.
Sam, 29, was first to face the cashbuilder round, answering three questions correctly and bagging £3,000. However, he chose to play it safe by accepting Chaser Paul Sinha’s lower offer of £1,000.
The Chase: Bradley Walsh threatens to cut the show short
During Tuesday’s episode of The Chase, host Bradley Walsh seemed less than thrilled as the game unfolded. ITV viewers met contestants Sam, Pauline, Rachel and Mark at the start.
Sam, 29, was first to face the cashbuilder round, answering three questions correctly and bagging £3,000. However, he chose to play it safe by accepting Chaser Paul Sinha’s lower offer of £1,000.
Both Sam and Pauline’s conservative choices appeared to irk both Bradley and The Sinnerman, Paul Sinha.
Bradley couldn’t resist a sarcastic comment when Pauline rejoined her teammates, remarking: “Absolutely setting the world alight with two players and two grand. Wow. We’re galloping into Pointless territory.”

He then quipped to Paul Sinha: “I don’t think you’re in much danger at the moment.” To which Paul responded: “We will just have to wait and see.”
Yet, there were still two contestants left to potentially boost the final pot. With Rachel up next, Bradley humorously warned that if she too went for a low offer, they might as well cut to the news early, reports Bristol Live.
Sam and Pauline made it through to the final chase
Although Rachel achieved a decent score, she was caught, leaving Mark to try and boost their collective £2,000 winnings, but he also got caught after opting for a high offer of £58,000.
As a result, Sam and Pauline found themselves in the final round, competing for the £2,000 prize. Host Bradley Walsh commented: “Pauline and Sam, inexplicably, have made it through to the final. We’re playing for £2,000. Wow, I hear you say. They might get away with it, who knows.”
The duo were up against Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha
Paul observed: “Statistically, they’ve got no chance! But, I’ll tell you what worries me, they’re quick, so I think they’re going to do better than the bare statistics show.”
After being given a two-step head start, the duo answered 15 questions, earning a total score of 17. Paul Sinha attempted to surpass their score, but ultimately, they emerged victorious, taking home £1,000 each.
